Brunei Events hosted its first-ever Virtual Treasure Hunt last Sunday, 7 November 2021. Over 120 people competed in teams of four to solve riddles and challenges from the comfort of their own home, for the chance to win cash prizes and lucky draw prizes.
As this is a virtual event hosted during the second wave, careful considerations were taken to ensure that everything was conducted online only. On Sunday morning, the event started with a team check-in via Zoom at 7:45am followed by a short doa and quick briefing, then flagged off at 8:30am. The hunt was divided into three segments in which each team needs to solve 25 hunt questions, three treasure questions and one challenge. The total points to be collected for the hunt was 110 points and winning teams are determined by the number of points collected. All participants were given four hours to do the treasure hunt, where teams were needed to submit all their answers latest by 12:30pm the same day.
All teams then assembled again at 4:00pm via Zoom for the reveal of the answers and the announcement of the top five winners. Prior to the announcement, lucky draw prizes were given away where more than 15 of the treasure hunters won prizes such as Samsung Galaxy A22, Cuion mask and Xtrike Me Gaming accessories just to name a few.
